Kindergarten Round-Up
Dates: February 16th March 13th Time: 6 p.m. - 7 p.m. Location: Each elementary school South Redford School District is opening registration for all kindergarten students. Consider enrolling your child with South Redford Schools for an excellent education beginning with the 2012-13 school year. South Redford School District offers a comprehensive, balanced full-day program with demonstrated success for over 5 years. South Redford Schools is accepting all children in Wayne County for placement in Kindergarten through second grade. Children must be 5 years old on or before December 1, 2012 in order to register and attend public school. Parents must bring two proofs of residency for Wayne County

assessments. If you would like more information on the changes in the way State assessments are now being reported, the video may serve as a good resource for understanding the
changes.
Redford Township Loan Modification / Forclosure Assistance Program
A "loan modification; foreclosure assistance" program is offered in Redford Township. People who are having trouble keeping up with their mortgage payments, or beleive that down the road they will be having trouble (wage reduction / job loss, etc.), may call the township Deputy Supervisor Rober J. Miller at (313) 387-2705 or 2805. The program is FREE to homeowners. Linda Miller, Redford Resident, is the MSHDA certified housing counselor. Ms. Miller will meet with homeowners in Redford Township Hall, 15145 Beech Daly Rd., in a confidential setting for thier privacy and convenience. The free service includes: 1. Analysing homeowners current situation 2. Providing options / solutions for a go forward plan. At least once a month the township offers free workshops at Redford Township Hall for people in need. Free & Reduced Meal Program ApplicationFree & Reduced Meal Program Application
The Free & Reduced Meal Program application is sent home at the beginning of each school year and parents and guardians are required to reapply each year for assistance. However, you may apply to particiapte in the Free & Reduced Meal Program at any time throughout the school year by submitting a household application directly to your school. For additional information see the 2011- 2012 Free & Reduced Meal Application with Parent Letter.
