Board of Education Trustee 2011 Scholarship Application
The South Redford Board of Education will award one (1) scholarship in the amount of $420.00 to a senior Thurston High School student graduating in the class of 2011.
The following criteria will be considered in the selection of the recipents:
Qualifications:
1. Service to the community
2. Service to school / participation in school activities
3. Evidence of intention to continue education or training
4. Evidence of exploratory experiences and achievement, which denotes affirmatio or attainment of personal high schools goals.
Examples:
1. Course selection
2. Academic performance / improvement
3. Volunteer experiences
4. Independent studies
5. Vocational experiences / work experiences
6. Extra curricular involvement
Specific Requirements and Procedures:
1. Applicant must complete the offical application provided below
2. Applicant may not be in the top ten of the class
3. Essay: How has Thurston High School prepared you for life after high school?
Minimum of 100 words / maximum of 200 words
